R&D Laboratory by NCU-TEC created a Masterbatch Additive with a high technical content in order to meet your requirements in the industry of machines cleaning (cylinders and/or screws). Is a reactive agent, in other words thanks to its molecular structure it strongly but safely affects every kind of deposits inside the machine or any other kind of impurity settled during the production cycle.

Dimensional stabilizer | chemical classification: functionalised polyolefin
TEMAD STABILIZER is an additive improving the mechanical characteristics: it optimizes the production process speding up the polymer crystallization and giving the product an excellent dimensional stability. In a nuthsell:
TEMAD STABILIZER is used for the most of thermoplastic resins, like a masterbatch: it is added directly in the hopper. The optimal dosage is between 1 and 5%.
Antiblocking additive
TEMAD ANTIBLOK is a synergistic combination based on natural silicas dispersed on a universal basis at a concentration of 50%. Antiblocking additives have the purpose of preventing manufactured articles from getting stuck during the extrusion phase, increasing the flow factor with relative increase in productivity. During storage, it facilitates the opening of the finished product’s bags and/or the detachment in the vertical direction of overlaid manufactured items. Some antiblocking additives also function as slip additives. TEMAD ANTIBLOK is a non-toxic DMI / EEC FDA / USA product, suitable for the production of LD PE/HD PE films, without altering the transparency.
The recommended use varies from 1% to maximum peaks of 5%.
Antiblocking additive
TEMAD STATIC UNI is a synergic combination designed to avoid electrostatic charges accumulation, lowering surface resistivity without damages for the colour. There are two major types of antistatic additives: Antistatic for the process and Antistatic for the product.
Antistatic additives for the process have the purpose of reducing the accumulation of electrostatic charges during the production process. Antistatic additives for the product, on the other hand, have the function of reducing the attraction of dust from the final product due to electrostatic charges generated by rubbing, especially in the presence of dry weather. The active ingredient used is chosen according to the characteristics it must fulfill and differs by migration typology. Fast migration: the antistatic additive rises to the surface very quickly, but wears out quickly; average duration is equal to 1/2 months. Slow migration: the antistatic additive rises to the surface very slowly, but keeps up a medium to long term antistatic action; average duration is up to 6 months. The duration of antistatic additives, however, depends on how much the finished products that contain them have been handled: the more they are handled the more the antistatic effects are lost.
TEMAD ANTISTATIC UNI is a very effective, durable, universal antistatic. Please, refer to the technical sheet about the percentage use.
Laser marking additive
Product coding is today considered an integral part of the production process. In addition to the expiration date, the products shows lot numbers, real-time production date, barcodes or other information.
For this kind of application we present TEMAD LASERMARK, the additive allows you making your products laser-markable.
Laser marking is based on a chemical reaction able to modify the color of the material hit by the laser beam. This practice makes it possible to "trace" the product according to the needs, guaranteeing the consumer a safety measurement system in the purchase and the manufacturer a simple identification of any non-compliant production batches.
It also has a number of advantages compared to other coding systems. First and foremost the economic one, for the absence of consumables and maintenance that leads to considerable decrease in downtime, as well as the positive aspects deriving from full environmental compatibility and the possibility of being used on many substrates and materials.
The recommended use percentage may vary depending on the product and the type of laser beam used in the production process. Keep the product in a dry place, away from heat sources and use airtight packaging.
Reattive additive
There are many differences among the antimicrobials on the market. The main classification of them is between organic and inorganic antimicrobials. Among the organic ones, one the most popular is the triclosan (2,4,4’-Trichloro-2’-hydroxydiphenyl ether), while among the inorganic ones the most common are those silver-based as our TEMAD ANTIBACT. Both triclosan and silver-based antimicrobials are effective against many kind of microorganisms. In particular the triclosan is less effective against negative grams (one of the two classes in which bacteriums are divided, the other one is that of positive grams). It is also little or not at all effective against pseudomonas bacteriums, which are particularly found in all the parts in contact with water. Silver-based antibacterials are effective both against positive and negative grams, pseudomonas included. TEMAD ANTIBACT doesn’t migrate but releases silver ions through a mechanism based on the law of ionic exchange. The ionic exchange stops when the balance point is reached, so that the yield of the product can be improved and extended at its best. TEMAD ANTIBACT can be used with all kind of thermoplastic resin.
TEMAD ANTIBACT can be used as an ordinary masterbatche. Generally the recommended percentage is from 3% to 6%.
Antioxidant additive
TEMAD ANTIOX has been studied to protect the resins from the thermo-oxidative action during the critical phases of the production processes. Its protective function is essential when the transformation needs require the use of particularly high temperatures. Antioxidant additives act also long-term, preserving the characteristics of the finished product. During the production process, heating polymers creates free radicals that modify the chemical structure of the resins by generating gels and changing the length of polymer chains, resulting in loss and/or deterioration of their mechanical characteristics (change of MFI, worsening of gloss) and of their aesthetic properties, including discoloration.
TEMAD ANTIOX should be used as follows: the recommended use varies from 1% to 3% in critical processes. Keep in a cold and dry place.
Drying masterbatch
TEMAD PROC-SET function is to remove the moisture present in the material and at the same time facilitate the production process, eliminating the polymer pre-drying phase. It is particularly indicated in the thermoplastic film sector as it stabilizes the bubble and gives a pleasant surface appearance, as it prevents the formation of partridge or fish eyes.
The recommended use varies from 1% to 3% in critical processes. Keep in a cold and dry place.
Flame retardant
All plastic materials have a problem: they are combustible and highly flammable. Therefore, the research comes to the rescue creating additives, called flame retardants, able to make the self-extinguishing resin. Temakrom srl, through its NCU-TEC division, makes available a series of flame retardants, which according to their chemical nature react through different mechanisms of actions such as:

Flame retardant
The detection of foreign bodies during food processing and packaging phases plays a fundamental role in ensuring safety and quality, avoiding product contamination. The Temad Detek TT, dispersed homogeneously and mixed with the raw material, acts so that, if some fragment of plastic material ends up in the product during the processing or packaging phase, these would be immediately identified by a metal detector.
Temad Detek TT is extremely versatile: it can be used in different production processes - such as injection molding, extrusion and blow molding - and it is compatible with various types of polymers, such as LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS and MABS.

Sliding and detaching addictive
TEMAD SLIP has the purpose to give sliding properties both during the production process and to the finished product. During the moulding phase it improves the mould filling facilitating the manufacture removal.
This property also remains with the finished product. In short TEMAD SLIP is a detaching addictive highly suitable with different applications and indicated also for sensitive resin.
TEMAD SLIP is used by adding to the mixture like a masterbatch.
UV stabilizer
There are two major types of UV stabilizers:
TEMAD ANTIUV should be used as follows: The percentages of use of these products vary according to the requested stability to light, expressed in kly, and to their geographical area of exposure.

Expanding additive
TEMAD ESPANSOR has a strong expanding action. The blowing agents are used in the field of injection molding, extrusion of flexible film, extrusion of monofilaments, etc., and are aimed at reducing the weight of the product. Expanding agents are divided into the categories provided: Exothermic and Endothermic.
The exothermic expanders generate heat and mainly nitrogen during the expansion phase.
The gases developed by the expanding agents diffuse inside the melted polymeric matrix forming some inside the material which accepts the lightening of the piece at the same volume. TEMAD ESPANSOR also improves the suction and filling phenomena of the mold. Sucking is a phenomenon that occurs during the molding phase due to the incomplete filling of the mold; as a consequence the printed product appears "empty". To solve this type of problem, expanding agents are used which, by releasing gas inside the mold, compress the molten material, homogeneously favoring its filling. The use of these masters reduces the mechanical characteristics of the product.
TEMAD ESPANSOR should be used as follows: Use from 1% to 5% depending on the application. Temperature of action > 160 ° C. Keep in a cold and dry place.
IR filter masterbatch
TEMAD IR FILTER is born from the continuous research of innovative additives able to solve problems related to plastic materials. This additive has the specific characteristic of filtering the IR rays which, as known, transmit the heat. Elimination of IR , is necessary especially in the presence of display cases, tarpaulins, covers or transparent panels to protect environments, offices, greenhouses, partitions and coverings of various kinds, where there is a need to pass the light and avoid overheating of the interior rooms. The addition of the additive to the transparent resin, gives it the property of filtering the infrared rays with a percentage that varies between 35% and 62% depending on the geometry and thickness. TEMAD IR FILTER allows the use of transparent resins for the most varied applications, ensuring protection from heat and ensuring excellent transparency of the final product.

Antiviral Additive
Temad Vida SL has been specifically designed to be effective against Coronavirus 2019-nCov. Temad Vida SL has an exclusive broad-spectrum formulation: it oxidizes basic structures, such as proteins, damaging them in a vast and irreversible way and thus deactivating / destroying the microorganism. Independent tests have shown the product is able to effectively and completely kill human Coronavirus rapidly. Temad Vida SL meets the requirements specified in the protocol, as required by the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency).
No other virucidal additive offers such a powerful composition or broad portfolio of performance. Its effectiveness is tested on over 100 strains of virus in 22 viral families, 400 strains of bacteria, over 60 strains of fungi and yeast.
Temad Vida SL is perfectly compatible with all types of thermoplastic resins and it is suitable for the main types of processing (molding, extrusion, film, blowing).
Temad Vida SL can be used as a masterbatch. The recommended percentage of use varies according to the product. Store in a dry place.
