Today we present our wide range of antibacterial and anti-fungus products - including TEMAD ANTIBACT and the new TEMAD BACTERIOSTATIC - powerful silver-based, broad-spectrum, inorganic biocides, suitable to give antibacterial characteristics to plastics.
Bacteria, as well as fungi, germs and mold lurk on every material including plastics, where they can multiply quiockly. The presence of these microorganisms can affect the hygienic conditions of the finished product giving rise, for example, to unpleasant odors and formation of spots. Their presence can also compromise the quality of the surface of the plastic material with consequent early deterioration of the product, as well as causing allergic reactions.
The use of specific anti-microbial ingredients for plastics prevents the spread of germs on the plastic: in particular, our products do not migrate but release silver ions with a mechanism regulated by the ion exchange. The ion exchange stops once the equilibrium conditions are reached allowing to maximize the performance and duration of the product.
Our formulations are perfectly consistent with all types of thermoplastic resins, prevent discoloration problems typical of other similar products, and they are effective against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas (TEMAD BATTEIROSTATICO also against various types of fungi).
